The Story
You could say it all began when city met country in No 97 and One One Four – two neighbourhood restaurants in the leafy suburbs of South West London. As bartenders, we wanted to create a gin that was an expression of our travels and experiences, including all the interesting flavours we’d discovered along the way. Add to that a real passion for gin and the diverse flavours each different gin presents, it seemed only natural to create our own.
The Good Life was born.
Juniper, pink grapefruit and earl grey tea combine beautifully to create this new contemporary style gin. Distilled in a traditional copper pot still appropriately named ‘Barbara’, the finish is aromatic with citrus notes and a hint of spice.
Why the name? With the 1980’s hit TV series being based on suburban life in Surbiton (our very neighbourhood), we thought it was only right to pay homage.
We hope you enjoy this wonderful gin as much as we do.

The Distillery / Bar
Discover Surbiton’s hidden distillery + gin bar. A hideaway for luxury libations & late night liaisons in a speakeasy-style basement bar.
This is the where The Good Life Gin Company was hatched and is now home to our tiny Nano Distillery, where our 10l copper pot still ‘Barbara’ lives literally on top of the bar. Originally starting at ‘Union Distillers’ with Mark Gamble at the helm, we have now brought the Good Life back home where it rightfully belongs, in the heart of Surbiton.
By day we work hard producing gin for all three of our restaurants, on top of all our amazing customers. By night we are slinging amazing gin cocktails into the late hours of the evening.
